I wanted a sweeper that was light, quiet, easy to use and did not require electricity or batteries. When received the top part of the handle was not included. However, Bissell replaced the entire handle in a very timely manner. The sweeper meets all my requirements and does a great job in picking up debris from both carpet and bare floor. Easy to empty. I would highly recommend this product

I'm really surprised that this works so well, given the size & the price. I unpacked it and put it together in 5 minutes. It looks like the loose handle problem has been corrected. Just be sure to screw each section of the handle down tightly. Used it twice on hard floors and rugs and it picked up just fine: dog fur, small bits of paper, crumbs. . . . I like the fact that it is low and smaller and can fit most places. And the corner brushes let you to clean close to the walls, which is normally a problem with sweepers. I could feel the handle was a bit loose at first but tightened it just once and it 's solid now. You need to clean the brush between rooms if you have furry four-footers. Emptying the trays is easy--but be sure to keep it directly over the garbage can when you push the release. I only used it twice, so if there's a problem after it gets more wear, I'll update this. Right now I feel like I found just what I need to keep the floors looking good between vacuuming. I even like it better than my swiffer. PS I'm still using it 4 months later & it's still working well.

Best money I have spent in a long time
Best money I have spent in a long time. This does a better job than a broom. I even use it on my carpet between vacuuming. It's easy to use, light weight. and is a work horse. The holding tray is super easy to empty and it doesn't get debris every where when you empty it. I definitely like that! I'm so glad I bought this.

Old School, but just what you need it you don't have a lot of carpet.
Perfect, if you don't have a lot of carpet. I have hardwood floors. I do not want to whip out the vacuum for a couple of area rugs. This is my second carpet sweeper. The 1st one lasted 15 years. Empty out EVERY time you use it, if you have pets. Oh, the fur.

Needed something small. Can’t believe how well this little sweeper works. Powerful and easy to empty. Thought for the price it wouldn’t do a good job. Boy was I wrong.

We use this Sweeper at work where we usually open ceiling tiles and all the dust and "crumbs" of those tiles fall onto the carpet. This product does an excellent job of cleaning that debris up without the use of loud, heavy and often times frustrating vacuums that you need to find a power outlet for. This product has been a convenient life saver for us and shortens our clean up time significantly. My only gripe is that its quite smaller than the industrial sized Huskee brand sweepers we see some of the janitors use. Its about 2/3 the size of those but it still works quite well. Also, I had to tape the detachable handle poles together so they wouldn't come apart. It does ok on hard floors but its great on carpet.

Best sweeper ever invented
I just replaced one I have used for 25 years, and it was still good! Every household should have one--works on all surfaces: carpet, tile, laminate, whatever. I have a small vacation rental and my "guests" just love it--saves them hauling out the vacuum al thel time, therefore leaving less cleaning for me when they leave. Would be wonderful for a beach house--just get the sand off the floors with practically no effort. If there were Ten Stars, I would give them all. Mr Bissell had a great idea about 100 years ago and it's still the best!

Great little sweeper
This a great little sweeper that picks up an amazing amount of dirt. I go over the rugs a bit and am always surprised at how much dirt the two pans have in them. It is super light and easy to use and does not require me plugging anything in. No electric or batteries, just good old mechanical motion. It does best on dust and dirt but will pick up cat litter off a floor. The only downside because it is not electric suction you have to be able to roll the brushes over the dirt that you are trying to pick up. So because of that it only works where you are able to push past what you are picking up. It will add life to your vacuum though because it is picking up a ton of stuff that would ordinarily have to be vacuumed. For the price it can't be beat and puts together in about two minutes. I recently bought two because the girl downstairs likes it so much that she kept borrowing mine so I just gave her the one I originally ordered and got myself another.

I have three homes and each one has this little sweeper. Great for hard floors and carpeting. Love it...so easy to use, lightweight and gives the great vacuumed room look quickly.
